![]() But you can't even do that with Apple Music, so wishful thinking.ĭecember 19 update: I've hardly listened to SiriusXM since this debacle. ![]() I just wish I could ask on my watch and have it play on airplay speakers. "Hey Siri, play channel 35 on SiriusXM in the backyard." Works like a charm! This is something I've desperately wanted forever. I can even get airplay to work through Siri now too, which is always flaky. So there's some problem with the channel names. ![]() I pretty much only listen to XMU and of course it's the most clunky channel to say.ĮDIT Ah! After I posted I figured it out! If I say "Hey Siri, play channel 35 on SiriusXM" it works perfectly every time. Voice works fine on my Alexa devices, but I remember it being this buggy when they first started with Alexa integration. Not sure if this is a Siri or SXM issue, though. On my iPhone, I have gotten "Hey Siri, play SiriusXMU on SiriusXM" to work exactly 1 time out of probably 2 dozen attempts. Thank god they finally brought Siri support but it is buggy as all hell. Not being able to see songs playing on other stations is inexecusably bad. Will take time to see if it still has the same problems with resuming playing, etc that it used to. ![]() Still no MacOS app, but the Safari web app appears to work a bit better than the previous listen site. I feel like SXM is loosing its "human touch". SXM is becoming just another radio streaming app like iHeart and Dash Radio. My Onyx Plus Receiver from 2014 shouldn't be easier to use, more reliable, and have more features than a mobile app made in 2023. I'll only cancel if they end satellite service (likely wont happen for decades) or really screw up the content/programming (or stop giving me platinum service for under $10/mo.) In my case, the app isn't make or break since I have car service. ![]() I'll give them a few weeks to fix bugs and maybe re-implement features such as customizable favorites. On the other hand, I've seen worse updates from other apps. They're improving things slowly but the oversized channel icons and ultra-minimal interface is just plain boring. Besides the random crashing on my Android phone the old app was perfect. ![]()
